There is a lot of bullying going on in schools these days. My kids often come across classmates who take their stuff, ask them to do things, spread rumours and are generally not nice. I wonder why there are more and more kids behaving like that these days. Parents no time to teach? Sometimes, I think parents forget that they are their child's main educator and they are so busy earning a living to make a better life for the family, they forget this important role and leave it all to the teachers. Teachers can only do so much especially when they are teaching a big class.

Anyway, one day, a classmate asked my boy to carry his bag up the flight of stairs to their classroom as he usually does. My boy who usually does not mind  helping him was tired of being asked over and over again and finally one day he said this to the other boy.

"Kindness Is By Choice, Not By Force."

My aunty passed away suddenly, unexpectedly. She is missed by all of us. Here is something specially dedicated to her.

We can no longer see you with our eyes
Or touch you with our hands
Nor hear your voice so soft and gentle
But you will always remain in our hearts
Farewell our dear aunty
Farewell rest in peace

RIP Aunty

I saw this quote being posted and shared on a Facebook account. I don't know who the author is, however it is a beautiful quote. That is why I chose this one to pretty up using PicMonkey online photo editor.

The quote says...

Three things you cannot recover in life, the WORD after it’s said, the MOMENT after it’s missed, and the TIME after it’s gone.  So CHOOSE your words wisely, EMBRACE every moment you have with those you love, and NEVER waste time arguing over things that will not matter in the last 5 minutes of your life.

I just attended the wake for one of my aunties so these words resonate and touched me. Here I would like to share it with a simple graphic. I chose daisies and a soft peach and yellow colored background for it.

I like to write all sorts of things. Inspirational quotes, non-fiction parenting books, poems, children's stories. Sometimes when I listen to nice instrumental music, I like to think of the lyrics that could go with it. Yes, I like to write lyrics to a song too. Here's one.

If You'll Just Get To Know Me

I'm a wallflower
At the corner of the room
Everytime you walk by
You never notice me

Because wallflowers don't talk
They are silent, quiet as can be
Because wallflowers don't talk
They stay unnoticed in the corner of the room

Chorus:
Oh baby
But if you'll just get to know me
You'll know
There's a song in my heart
Just waiting to be sung
There's a story in my head
Just waiting to be told
There's a poem in my mind
Just bursting from within
All the things I never said
They're all inside my head

Repeat Chorus:

End
If you'll just get to know me
You'll know the wallflower is no wallflower at all

This song in my head is dedicated to all the wallflowers in the world. Sing it to any tune you like. :)

Feel free to use the lyrics or the image below but remember to be nice and link back. :)

I am a wallflower

Sometimes life gets you down. Sometimes it throws you more lemons than you can catch. If you have been down that path before, you will know what I mean. Don't let yourself feel down. Just remember, that the more difficulties you have to go through in life, the stronger you get.

Here is a little poem I wrote to keep hanging on when times are tough. Don't give up. Be strong.

Because I Have

Because I have felt pain
Now I can go through the rain
Because I have shed tears
Now everything is clear

Because I have walked alone
Now I know I can make it on my own
Because I have been afraid
Now I won't be easily swayed

Each knock makes me stronger
Now I can last much longer
On the path that is sometimes tiring
It is not hard to find something inspiring

To keep me going on....
To keep me forever strong.

Feel free to share the poem or the image below but remember to link back. Thank you.

Have you seen children skip? My kids used to skip whenever they were happy. It is a natural expression of happiness for them. I love watching them skip. It makes me smile. They have stopped skipping now that they are a little older. However, they still see things in amazing ways that I don't.

Sometimes, I like to put on my child glasses and see the world again through the eyes of a child. In the eyes of a child, the world is a wonderful place with so many amazing things to learn and explore. They see the good rather than the bad, the beautiful rather than the ugly.

Through The Eyes Of A Child Poem

The moon is so bright
The stars are so shiny
The rainbow is so pretty
The rain is so sparkly
Nature is perfect
Through The Eyes Of A Child

The sky is so blue
The butterfly is so yellow
The flowers are so red
The grass is so green
We live in a colorful world
Through The Eyes Of A Child

Mummy is so beautiful
Daddy is so knowing
Grandma is so cuddly
Grandpa is such fun
Family is lovely
Through The Eyes Of A Child

Do you look at nature
Do you notice the colors
Do you love your family
Through The Eyes Of A Child

Quotes For Mothers. Do You Believe In Love At First Sight? I Do...Because I Am A Mother.

Quotes For Mothers

I love to write. I love to draw. I love quotes. I love motivational posters. So I put them all together. I drew a picture of a mother and her baby. I wrote a quote for my picture. Then I used AutoMotivator to turn my drawing and quote into a Motivational Poster for mothers. I hope you like it.
